I kept cleaning my device with the scanner and Norton had not found things that another provider in security software for free had found for me, that was slowing down my PC. Normally Norton automatically doesn't allow you to pass through red marked sites without you selecting the button at the bottom of the screen.ĭespite the fact I spent money on Norton security, I noticed no difference in the optimization of my PC. Norton does offer the ability to check your website's security before entering with a green marker for the passing site and a red marker for a dangerous site.

Don't rely on this product if you have prior issues on your PC that need to be addressed and cleaned out of your system.įor the basic minimum Norton offers you the firewall and web browsing security on your devices from things such as malware, adware, and viruses. However, in my experience, I have yet to see it make my PC more optimized and failed to quarantine items that should have been. It offers you the bare minimum to keep your PC from further infections of malware, adware, and/or viruses. Norton is overhyped, save your money and roll with smaller companies! It takes a long time to setup, and so requires some patience to complete installation. I had a terrible time with the customer service rep who did not speak English, and when I asked for a supervisor he denied me. The customer service for this product is not worth the renewal.

Sometimes it can be a bit complex to use as there is no manual to navigate the program, for less tech-savvy people it may be a hindrance. It would have taken me hours to try to find these files on my own, now it's easy.

I downloaded the free trial and was really happy with how quickly I got my account set up and started using it. Whenever I download something, I get a notification letting me know it's been scanned and is safe. I feel safe when I download any type of content. The Norton AntiVirus was easy to set up and use. It is easy to navigate the tool, and all viruses are easily detected and eliminated. I trust and download products online because I know that the downloads are virus-free.
We trust the Norton brand because we take security seriously. We constantly scan any files that we download as a business. Overall experience is that I'm happy with the service/product as it works perfectly well in detecting and eliminating viruses. it's just an annoying pop-up machine that does nothing.
Seriously, I wouldn't even call this program an antivirus. And then sometimes you actually WILL get a real virus and Norton won't even catch it. You're supposed to think "oh look at all the stuff it's doing. Instead, it is just an annoying time waste, popping up so it looks like it's doing something.
That would be the way the program is supposed to work. And I'm not saying that it was constantly finding viruses. Every few seconds it pops up with some kind of unimportant warning. I'd rather have a virus than deal with Norton. It's frustrating because it doesn't work very well and it pops up with nonsense constantly. It's not in and of itself a complicated program to use. Honestly, this program has left such a bad taste in my mouth I can't even think of anything positive to say about it. It's terrible and I'm glad I removed it from my machine. Want to experience frustration that drives you to madness? Use Norton!
